Virginia Giuffre Memorial Draws Crowds Demanding Justice for Epstein Victims
Family and advocates gathered in Washington to mark one year since Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s death, demanding justice for Jeffrey Epstein’s victims.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Family members and advocates gathered in the nation’s capital Saturday to commemorate the first anniversary of Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s death and demand continued justice for victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The memorial service took place on a stage across from the Ellipse, with the White House serving as a backdrop. Giuffre’s brother Sky Roberts and sister-in-law Amanda Roberts addressed the crowd, reading excerpts from her posthumous memoir.
“Sis, today is your day,” Sky Roberts told attendees. “Today is Virginia’s Day, a day I know you would want us to be about celebrating survivors around the world, for both those that have come forward and those that have not.”
Remembering a Whistleblower’s Impact
Speakers praised Giuffre for her courage in exposing the abuse she suffered at the hands of Epstein, the disgraced financier who according to the U.S. Justice Department victimized approximately 1,000 women and girls. Attendees said her willingness to share her story changed the world for other survivors.
The vigil brought together women connected to Giuffre through shared experiences of sexual abuse, along with family members and advocates who continue pushing for accountability in cases involving Epstein’s associates.
Call for Continued Action
Memorial attendees included supporters like Pam Dandridge, 67, of Alexandria, Virginia, who held signs calling for justice. The event served as both a remembrance of Giuffre’s life and a rallying cry for ongoing efforts to support survivors of trafficking and abuse.
Giuffre gained international attention for her legal battles against Prince Andrew and other high-profile figures connected to Epstein’s trafficking network. Her advocacy work continued until her death in April 2025, inspiring other survivors to come forward with their experiences.
The memorial highlighted the ongoing need for justice and support for trafficking victims, with speakers encouraging continued efforts to hold accountable those who enabled or participated in Epstein’s crimes.
