GRAINGER COUNTY, TENNESSEE β€” A Grainger County man was taken into custody Sunday after a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probe into allegations of sexual misconduct resulted in his indictment on multiple charges.

Investigation and Charges

TBI special agents launched the investigation in February at the request of 4th Judicial District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn. The inquiry focused on allegations of sexual misconduct involving Glenn Noe, born May 12, 1944.

Agents gathered information indicating that Noe inappropriately touched a caregiver working at his residence on four separate occasions between September 2025 and February 2026, according to the TBI.

Grand Jury Returns Indictments

In April, the Grainger County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Noe with three counts of Sexual Battery and one count of Assault. The charges stem from the alleged incidents at his residence involving the caregiver.

Noe was taken into custody on June 29 and booked into the Grainger County Jail on a $10,000 bond, according to the TBI Newsroom.

Presumption of Innocence

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation noted that the charges and allegations referenced are accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. Noe is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
