G Eazy started out as a record producer. He worked on singles while he was studying at Loyola University in New Orleans. He worked together with producer Christoph Andersson, another student at the university.

In the summer of 2016, G Eazy went on another tour, alongside fellow rapper Logic. The Endless Summer Tour lasted from June to August.
In June 2017, G Eazy announced his third studio album, The Beautiful & Dammed. He announced the album on Instagram and released it by the end of the year.
