Wind Advisory Issued for Nashville Area Through Tuesday Evening
Gusts could reach 45 mph across Nashville through Tuesday evening—be prepared for potentially damaging winds that could impact travel and outdoor activities.

NASHVILLE — The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the Nashville area Monday night, warning of potentially damaging winds expected to continue through Tuesday evening.
The advisory, issued at 11:52 p.m. Monday by NWS Memphis, remains in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to weather officials.
Wind Conditions Expected
Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph are forecast across the region, with gusts potentially reaching up to 45 mph. The strongest winds are expected during daytime hours Tuesday.
Weather officials warned that these conditions could result in scattered tree limbs falling and possible power outages throughout the area.
Safety Precautions Advised
The National Weather Service advised residents to secure loose outdoor items such as patio furniture, decorations, and garbage cans. Officials also recommended avoiding outdoor activities in wooded areas where falling branches pose the greatest risk.
Motorists should exercise caution while driving, particularly when operating high-profile vehicles such as trucks, RVs, and motorcycles. Crosswinds may create hazardous driving conditions on open highways and bridges.
Monitoring Conditions
Local emergency management officials are monitoring the situation closely as the weather system moves through Middle Tennessee. Power companies have crews on standby to respond to any outages that may result from downed trees or limbs.
The advisory covers Davidson County and surrounding areas in Middle Tennessee. Residents should stay updated on changing conditions through local weather alerts and official channels.
Weather officials expect conditions to improve Tuesday evening as the system moves east of the region.
