Kash Doll is an American rapper and model. She signed with Republic Records, and since then, her career took off. Collaborating with artists such as Iggy Azalea, Meek Mill, and Big Sean, Kash made a couple of hits. Her best singles are For Everybody and Ice Me Out. The latter is the lead single from her debut album Stacked.
Career Ups and Downs
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Kash worked from a young age. She has five other siblings, but Kash is the oldest. Her real name is Akreisha Knight. The rapper helped support her single mother and family. And even as a young kid, she developed an interest in rapping, freestyle, and lyrics.
Kash tried a regular job and education. She enrolled at the Henry Ford College and studied business management. But after a year, she left it and worked as a dancer to support her family. While working as a dancer in the adult entertainment industry, Kash rapped and earned money from patrons of the nightclub. Some nights she made between $10,000 and $20,000 without dancing.
At that point, she left the adult dancing clubs and put the focus on her music career. Early on, she performed in local clubs and at schools. She also did some charity events in the Detroit area.
Her career took off when she joined social media. Kash opened an Instagram account and gained followers by releasing short videos of herself aping. Drake invited her to open his show on the Summer Sixteen tour stop in Detroit.
In 2015, she remixed the 2 On single by Tinashe and then released a video for her single Run Me My Money. The video went viral and she followed it up with a mixtape, Keisha vs Kash Doll.
In December 2017 the young rapper appeared on Big Sean and Metro Boomin’s single So Good. IN July 2018 she dropped an EP called the Vault. Her video For Everybody accumulated more than 10 million views on YouTube.
For her birthday in 2018, Kash released a mixtape called Brat Mail. She dedicated it to her fans. Kash refers to them as “Bratz”. In August the same year, she signed a deal with Republic Records. Her first single of the deal is Ice Me Out. In April 2019, Kash released her single Hustla. It is a reference to her experience of working at strip clubs.
With her Hustla single, Kash Doll wanted to raise awareness and advocate on behalf of the women in the industry. She then appeared on Iggy Azalea’s single Fuck it Up. During Meek Mill’s The Motivation Tour in 2019, Kash worked as an opening act.
She performs in Detroit and gained millions of followers on social media.

Kash Doll is a young star. She has her whole life in front of her. But winning a few awards early in the career helps. So far, she only earned a nomination.
In 2018 she got nominated for Outstanding Rap MC by the Detroit Music Awards. In 2020, her album Stacked got nominated for Outstanding National Major Label Recording.
Unlike most rappers, she tends to keep a low profile. Her latest appearance in the media was for the video Hustla.
Born in 1992 in Detroit Michigan as Arkeisha Antoinette Knight, Kash Doll is the oldest of six siblings. She worked at a young age to help her single mother. Knight lost her father when she was only 1 year old. Growing up in an unstable family with a single mother and a stepfather was not easy. Constant fighting was a regular activity in her home.
She is now in a relationship with a “sugar daddy”. She doesn’t reveal the name of her boyfriend or tag him in posts. But news sites report she dates a wealthy South African businessman by the name of Erik. He owns two weed dispensaries and one trucking company.
Recently he bought her a $300,000 Bentley truck.
