COLUMBUS — Broadway in Columbus announced its 2026-27 season lineup Tuesday, featuring seven productions including popular musicals “The Great Gatsby,” “Wicked,” and “The Phantom of the Opera.”

The season will run from October 2026 through June 2027 at the Ohio Theatre in downtown Columbus. Season subscriptions go on sale to current subscribers beginning January 13, with new subscriber sales starting February 3.

Featured Productions

“The Great Gatsby,” based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, will open the season in October 2026. The musical adaptation features a jazz-age score and choreography set in the Roaring Twenties.

“Wicked,” the long-running musical about the witches of Oz, returns to Columbus after previous successful engagements. The production tells the story of the witches of Oz before Dorothy’s arrival.

“The Phantom of the Opera,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s romantic musical thriller, will also make its return to the Ohio Theatre stage. This production has been one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history.

Additional Shows and Pricing

The season will include four additional productions yet to be announced, according to Broadway in Columbus officials. The organization typically reveals its complete lineup in phases throughout the subscription period.

Season subscription packages start at $150 for seven shows, with premium seating options available at higher price points. Subscribers receive priority seating, exchange privileges, and discounts on additional ticket purchases.

Individual show tickets will go on sale closer to each production’s run date, typically 8-10 weeks before performances begin.

Ohio Theatre Operations

The Ohio Theatre, located at 39 E. State Street, serves as the primary venue for Broadway in Columbus productions. The historic theater underwent major renovations in recent years to enhance patron experience and technical capabilities.

Broadway in Columbus is operated by the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts in partnership with national touring companies. The organization has brought touring Broadway productions to central Ohio for over three decades.

Performance schedules and additional show announcements will be released throughout 2025 as production details are finalized, officials said.
